Why we built this
Sending someone a playlist is one of the most personal gestures in music. But a link in a text message disappears the moment it arrives — it competes with a hundred other notifications and leaves no trace. We wanted to give that gesture back its weight: a real object, addressed by hand, arriving in the post and demanding to be held. That is what Mixed Tape Courier is.
How it works
You record a 30-second voice intro in your browser, paste a public Spotify or Apple Music playlist URL, fill in the recipient's mailing address, and pay a flat $15. We generate a 4×6 cassette-themed postcard with a unique QR code, print it on premium card stock, and drop it in the mail. Recipients scan the QR code with their phone camera and the Walkman-style web player opens — no app, no account, no friction.
Who it is for
Mixed Tape Courier is for anyone who has ever wanted to make someone a mixtape but did not know how to make it feel real in the streaming era. Birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day, graduation, long-distance relationships, or just because — the cassette postcard works for any occasion where music and a personal message mean more than a gift card.
